My son & I visited the A Christmas Story House last week on our way back to our home in upstate New York.  After having the time of our lives at the house with enthusiastic and genuinely happy staff (Ian Petrella was a great guy to speak with), we went to the gift shop and bought the 50 inch “leg lamp” (amoung other things).  It now holds a place of honor in our home’s great room (photo attached) and draws smiles from every person on the sidewalk who walks by.  I have heard several nieghbors scream out, “It’s a major award!”

The house, the musuem, your staff, and that wonderful leg lamp will always leave our family with a smile.

Every year my dogs Angie and Atia (rescued pound puppies) reenact a scene from A Christmas Story, for our Christmas card. The first year, I ordered the full sized leg lamp from your web site, and we took their picture with it, displayed in our front bay window. Attached, also please find a copy of our 2009 card. I will be ordering a few props from your site shortly, to prepare for 2010! (Hint: Schwartz and Randy hats!)

Just thought Id share this picture with someone who could appreciate it. I have only see one other online.

I convinced my son to dress as Ralphie for Halloween 2009. Honestly he wasn’t really happy about it, but somehow I managed to get him to do it. This was the only picture he’d let me take. He’s just lucky I didn’t put him in the bunny costume. Enjoy!
