I was really excited about putting this Halloween costume together! I was lucky and found the lamp shade at Salvation Army for only $6. I just had to add that wonderful fringe. People loved it!  “Fragile” really tied everything together!

I’m sure you get tons of these each Halloween, but I can’t help but brag. I bought the bunny costume from your website shop, and it was worth every penny. My wife had to be more creative, using an actual lamp shade, and actual lights to create her costume.

This is my son Zachary Beck. He is 6 yrs. old. I’ve had people stop me in stores since he was a toddler and say he looks like Ralphie. Ironically, this is one of our FAV movies of all time. We watch it year round and even have the real leg lamp. I just wanted to share these photos of him. This is his costume for halloween 2010. YES, I had to bribe him with ca$h to wear it. We are from southern Indiana. We hope to make it to the Ralphie house museum this year (we’ve never been). I’d love to get a photo of him in front of the house. ENJOY!!  Kathy Beck

My son & I visited the A Christmas Story House last week on our way back to our home in upstate New York.  After having the time of our lives at the house with enthusiastic and genuinely happy staff (Ian Petrella was a great guy to speak with), we went to the gift shop and bought the 50 inch “leg lamp” (amoung other things).  It now holds a place of honor in our home’s great room (photo attached) and draws smiles from every person on the sidewalk who walks by.  I have heard several nieghbors scream out, “It’s a major award!”

The house, the musuem, your staff, and that wonderful leg lamp will always leave our family with a smile.
