We just wanted to start out by saying what  huge fans of A Christmas Story that we are. Ever since we were kids this movie has been very special to us. Every year  We have this huge Christmas Party, which has come to be known as the A Christmas Story party. We decorate our whole house in all of our A Christmas Story memorabilia which to date is going over 250 items strong. We have a specific tree that is called “The A Christmas Story Tree” where we obviously put all the ornaments. We just about everything except for the house itself…….

Anyways, we just got married recently  and for all of the Groomsmen( there were seven of them) we bought them each a Red Ryder Bb Gun and had it engraved with something special(a funny saying or inside joke between us) and the date of our Wedding. There was only one wood engraver in town that could do it and he was very excited to be a part of it. The Groomsmen were all so touched by this and it meant so much to give them something so meaningful to us. I am including pictures of two of the guns….unfortunately because of all the chaos that surrounds a wedding I wasn’t able to get everyone together with their guns for a picture or anything like that,  and these two had to be left behind so that I could send them to my friends by UPS.

On top of that my Father in Law surprised my Wife and I at the Rehearsal Dinner by having a Leg Lamp cake custom made for us. We were completely overwhelmed at how much thought that her Father put into it.  I’m including some pictures of that also.

As far as A Christmas Story fans go we are right at the top. We have not been able to make it to the house yet, but we are hoping that we can make it out there this Holiday season.

You guys have done a terrific job and keep up the good work.

We just wanted to show how much we love and appreciate this movie and Thank you for what you guys have done to keep it’s legacy alive.

Hello!

Before Thanksgiving I visited my lovely friend Tam Tam in Cleveland  

and she offered to take me to her most favorite place EVER in Ohio…  

the Christmas Story House!!! Dale was our guide and kindly let us jump  

in front of the Christmas tree for my holiday card. I have jumping  

shots in every state/country I visit and this one is totally my OHIO  

postcard!

What a great tour and fun experience :) Yes that is really us  

jumping… but I did have to photoshop in the lamp (because that is  

really the best part!)
